Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ARfi collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use ARfi, including the ARfi game, website, account features, ARtists tools, playtest access, music placement systems, collection systems, ArtM systems, and related services.

ARfi is built around spatial and location-based music discovery, so some features may require account data, location data, device data, AR data, camera permissions, music interaction data, and artist-submitted information.

By using ARfi, you understand that your information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. ARfi Game and ARtists

ARfi includes two separate areas:

The type of information we collect may depend on whether you use ARfi as a player, listener, tester, artist, manager, label, or authorized representative.

3. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use ARfi, we may collect:

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

5. Location Data

ARfi may use location data to make the core experience work. Location may be used to show music around you, place music in a real-world area, confirm whether you are near a collectible item, support exchanges, prevent abuse, and improve location-based gameplay.

Some ARfi features may require precise location. Other features may work with approximate location or may not require location at all.

You can limit or disable location permissions through your device settings, but some ARfi features may stop working correctly.

ARfi does not sell your precise location data.

6. Camera, AR, and Device Permissions

ARfi may request access to your camera, motion sensors, device orientation, and AR platform features so the app can detect surfaces, display AR objects, and support spatial music interactions.

Camera and AR data are used to make ARfi function. Unless ARfi clearly tells you otherwise, ARfi does not use your camera feed to identify people.

You can manage camera and device permissions through your device settings, but AR features may not work without them.

7. ARfi Game Data

When you use the ARfi game, we may process gameplay and music interaction data, including collected music, placed music, ArtM activity, inventory, energy, listening actions, exchange activity, placement location, and nearby interaction data.

This data is used to run the game, show your collection, make placed music available, prevent cheating, maintain fairness, support the in-app economy, and improve the ARfi experience.

Some ARfi game actions may be visible to other users when a feature is designed to be public or shared, such as placed music, artist names, public music metadata, or shared experiences.

8. ARtists Data

When you use ARtists, we may collect and process artist-related information, including artist identity, representative information, submitted music, artwork, metadata, credits, links, release details, account status, and review history.

ARfi may use this information to review submissions, display artist content, power artist tools, manage artist access, enforce ARtists rules, and protect the ARfi music ecosystem.

If ARfi reviews a submission for possible AI-generated music, copyright issues, fake identity, or other policy violations, we may keep related review notes, warnings, evidence, and moderation records.

9. AI-Generated Music Policy Data

ARfi bans AI-generated music from ARtists as described in the ARfi Terms of Use.

To enforce this policy, ARfi may review submitted tracks, metadata, account behavior, artist statements, proof of authorship, production information, reports, and other relevant signals.

If a user receives a warning for AI-generated music, ARfi may store that warning and related review information. Three warnings may lead to the ARtists account being closed, and severe abuse may lead to immediate action.

10. Notifications

ARfi may ask permission to send notifications. Notifications may include account updates, collection updates, placed music activity, ArtM activity, artist updates, playtest information, product announcements, or important service notices.

You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

11. Sharing Information

We may share information with:

ARfi does not sell your precise location data.

12. Public Features

Some ARfi features may be public or visible to other users. This may include placed music, artist profiles, artist-submitted content, usernames, public music metadata, public placements, or shared music experiences.

Do not submit information you do not want others to see if the feature is public or shared.

13. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate ARfi, provide services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce Terms, review abuse, and improve the product.

Account data may be kept while your account is active. Some records may remain after account deletion if needed for legal, safety, fraud prevention, accounting, moderation, or security reasons.

Test data may be deleted, reset, modified, or anonymized during closed testing, public testing, or early access.

14. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information.

You can manage permissions such as location, notifications, camera, motion sensors, and photos through your device settings.

You may contact ARfi to request account deletion or privacy assistance.

15. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for avoiding unauthorized access to your account or device.

16. Children

ARfi is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum digital consent age in your region.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to ARfi, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

17. International Use

ARfi may be operated from different countries and may use service providers in different countries. Your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

When information is processed internationally, privacy protections may differ from those in your country.

18. Third-Party Services

ARfi may use third-party services for authentication, cloud hosting, databases, storage, maps, analytics, crash reporting, payments, app distribution, and device platform features.

These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ARfi changes. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the website, app, email, or another reasonable method.

Continued use of ARfi after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
